About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Digital Financial Services to drive business analysis, product insights, and strategic initiatives across digital lending, payments, and financial inclusion platforms. The role will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and technology functions to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, data-driven financial solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess strong domain expertise in digital finance, lending ecosystems, and mobile money platforms, with the ability to convert complex business needs into actionable requirements and optimized processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
•
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for digital financial products and platforms
•
Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
•
Conduct gap analysis and recommend scalable solutions aligned with business objectives
•
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to refine requirements
Product & Financial Analysis
•
Support the design and enhancement of:
•
Digital lending products (nano loans, overdrafts, MSME financing)
•
Payment systems and mobile money integrations
•
Embedded finance and open banking solutions
•
Analyze customer behavior, financial data, and market trends to inform product decisions
•
Assist in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and product viability assessments
Process Optimization & Operations
•
Map and optimize end-to-end business processes across the product lifecycle
•
Identify inefficiencies in credit operations, onboarding, and transaction workflows
•
Recommend automation and digitalization strategies to enhance operational efficiency
•
Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and risk management frameworks
Data Analysis & Reporting
•
Define KPIs and track product and business performance metrics
•
Perform data analysis to support decision-making, including:
•
Conversion rates
•
Customer acquisition and retention
•
Product usage and financial performance
•
Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders and senior management
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
•
Act as liaison between business, product, engineering, and operations teams
•
Collaborate with external partners including FinTechs, mobile operators, and financial institutions
•
Support integration initiatives with third-party systems and platforms
Project Support & Delivery
•
Support project planning, execution, and delivery across multiple initiatives
•
Work within Agile frameworks to ensure timely delivery of requirements and solutions
•
Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), validation, and post-launch analysis
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience
•
6–10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in FinTech / Digital Financial Services
•
Strong exposure to:
•
Digital lending and credit lifecycle
•
Mobile money ecosystems and payment platforms
•
Financial inclusion and underserved market segments
•
Experience working across multiple geographies and regulatory environments is preferred
Technical & Functional Skills
•
Strong expertise in:
•
Business process modeling (BPMN, workflows)
•
Requirement gathering and documentation tools
•
Data analysis and reporting (Excel, BI tools, SQL preferred)
•
Understanding of:
•
Financial services regulations and compliance
•
Credit scoring models and risk frameworks
•
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
