Location: Southwark - London (Hybrid – 2 days per week with Wednesday a mandated dayLength: upto 6 monthsStart Date: ASAPDay Rate/Salary: £31.63 to £41.06 per hour PAYE or £41.18 to £53.55 per hour Umbrella

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly technical Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join London Fire Brigade and deliver a complex data project for their Professional Standards Unit (PSU).

Key Responsibilities

• Map and analyse existing spreadsheet-based reporting processes.
• Build robust, high-quality Power BI reports and business dashboards.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
• Define and document 10 core KPIs for PSU performance reporting.
• Improve data quality, structure, and consistency across reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and refine solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and clear documentation throughout the project.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong technical and analytical capability, as well as being a strong people person.

Essential Skills

• Exceptional technical skills – particularly SQL and Power BI.
• Experience managing large-scale data or reporting projects.
• A sensible, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and data integrity focus.
• Ability to untangle and interpret complex spreadsheet logic.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Working Arrangements

• Hybrid role: 2 days per week in the London office.
• Wednesday is a fixed onsite day; the second day is flexible depending on project needs.
