A Day in the Life

As a Senior BI Analyst / Data Scientist, your day is spent turning millions of rows of data into high-impact product decisions.

You start the morning by querying high-volume player event data to identify why a specific segment's behavior shifted after a recent feature release. By midday, you are deep in a statistical model, perhaps designing a predictive view of player lifetime value or separating the signal from the noise in a recent A/B test.

In the afternoon, you shift from analysis to design. You sit down with the Product and Engineering teams to balance platform economy parameters - tuning reward systems or volatility profiles to ensure the user experience remains exciting while hitting business targets.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need

• Proven Technical Depth: 4+ years in data analytics or data science, with a background in high-volume, short-iteration environments like fintech, gaming, or consumer tech.
• SQL Mastery: Expert-level SQL skills are non-negotiable; you are comfortable writing and optimizing complex queries at scale.
• Statistical Foundations: A solid understanding of hypothesis testing, regression, and experimental design.
• Programming Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis and model building.
• Data Visualization: Experience building operational dashboards in tools like Grafana, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strategic Communication: The ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable narratives for leadership.

It’d Be Great — But Not Necessary — If You Also Had:

• Economy Design: Experience balancing digital economies, reward systems, or virtual marketplaces.
• Advanced Data Stack: Familiarity with Snowflake, ClickHouse, or event-driven architectures like Kafka.
• Machine Learning: Experience applying clustering or recommendation models to user behavior.
• Relevant Background: Experience specifically within high-frequency digital entertainment or consumer platforms.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Behavioral Analysis: Building deep analytical views of engagement funnels, retention cohorts, and monetization curves.
• Economy Design & Balancing: Implementing platform parameters and driving data-backed tuning cycles.
• Experimentation: Designing and analyzing A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize the product.
• Statistical Modeling: Maintaining predictive models for churn risk and behavioral segmentation.
• Infrastructure Partnership: Collaborating with engineering to define event taxonomies and data schemas.
