Job Description – Senior BI Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BI Developer who can take

end-to-end ownership of BI solutions

, drive technical decisions, and mentor team members. The role requires strong expertise in

Power BI, SQL, ETL, and data architecture

, along with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

BI Development & Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain

Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets

• Develop and optimize

SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models

• Build and manage

ETL pipelines using SSIS

• Develop reporting solutions using

SSRS

• Manage and govern

semantic layer (datasets, dataflows, gateways)

Architecture & Engineering

• Define best practices for

data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable applications

• Build and maintain

.NET-based integrations (C#)

for BI workflows

• Ensure system performance, scalability, and maintainability

Delivery & Collaboration

• Lead

end-to-end BI solution delivery

• Work closely with

stakeholders, business analysts, and product owners

• Translate business requirements into

data-driven insights

• Ensure

data quality, security, and compliance

• Maintain proper documentation (data lineage, reports, solutions)

Cloud & Innovation

• Support

cloud data platform initiatives (AWS, migration projects)

• Identify opportunities to integrate

AI/ML into BI workflows

• Develop AI-driven solutions like:

• Predictive KPIs

• Anomaly detection

• Natural language querying

• Power BI (Desktop, Service, Report Server)

• Advanced

DAX & Power Query (M)

• SQL Server (query optimization, execution plans)

• SSIS (ETL development)

• SSRS (reporting)

• Data Modeling & Data Warehousing

• .NET (C# preferred)

• Control-M

• JIRA (Agile – Scrum / Kanban)

Cloud & Data

• AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue)

• Data pipelines & integration

AI & Automation

• Experience with

AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)

• Understanding of

AI/ML fundamentals

• Prompt engineering & AI-assisted development

• Evaluating AI outputs for accuracy and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field

• 8+ years of experience in

Microsoft BI stack

• Strong experience in

Agile development environments

• Excellent

communication and stakeholder management skills
