Senior Cloud Data Engineer

About the role

We are currently looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join our team in Singapore.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in data analytics
• At least 5+ years in a management role handling large-scale data analytics projects
• Proven experience with:
• AWS cloud services (infrastructure setup and management)
• Databricks Lakehouse
• AI/ML technologies

Technical Skills

• Design, develop, and implement GenAI solutions integrated with Azure and OpenAI platforms
• Stay updated with advancements in:
• GenAI
• Azure OpenAI
• AWS AI/ML
• Google GenAI technologies
• Hands-on experience with:
• AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, AI/ML services)
• Google Cloud services (AI Platform, Cloud Functions, AutoML)
• Experience in cloud deployment and scaling of GenAI applications across AWS, Azure, and GCP

Strong proficiency in:

• Databases: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Teradata, Databricks
• Data repositories: Data lakes, Data marts

Experience in:

• Data modeling and transformation
• Statistical computing (Python, R)
• Strong understanding of:
• MLOps
• Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Event-driven architecture

Expertise in:

• Cloud-native technologies
• Microservices architecture
• Serverless computing
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cloud data platforms
• Architecture design
• Data integration
• Scalable data pipeline implementation

Leadership & Management Skills

• Proven leadership in managing high-performing teams and complex projects
• Strong program and project management capabilities
• Ability to:
• Prioritize tasks effectively
• Manage resources
• Meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate/Professional)
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
