Job Purpose
The Commercial Data Analyst is responsible for collecting and storing data on sales, customer data, market research, logistics, linguistics, or other behaviors. He/she brings technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then processes, designs, and presents it in ways to help people, businesses, and the organization make better decisions.
Responsibilities
- Generate and automate reports across departments like marketing, customer experience, trading, last mile, and finance.
- Collaborate closely with the media and merchandising teams to suggest modifications and optimizations.
- Create organized reports for daily, weekly, and monthly analysis for the wider team.
- Identify and solve data problems and inconsistencies.
- Clean and formulate data for report template population.
- Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
- Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Document key metrics and additional performance indicators to aid in analysis and optimization.
- Gather data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases.
- Develop and refine short- and long-term demand forecasts using historical data, seasonality, promotions, and market trends, supported by dynamic models across categories, regions, and channels.
- Support seasonal merchandise planning by analyzing product, category, and store-level KPIs (e.g., sell-through, stock cover, markdown %, OTB, GMROI) and provide recommendations on assortment, phasing, and replenishment.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Computer Sciences, or a related field.
- Four to six years of experience in analytics, or a similar role.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Qlik, Advance Excel and working knowledge of Google Analytics or Facebook BM.
