Our client, a rapidly growing financial institution, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join their team in **Seattle, Washington, US**. This critical role will involve leveraging large datasets to extract actionable insights, drive strategic decision-making, and enhance business performance within the banking and finance sector. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing complex financial data, developing insightful reports and dashboards, and communicating findings to stakeholders across various departments, including risk management, marketing, and product development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, expert-level proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, and a proven ability to translate data into business solutions. You will play a key role in identifying trends, forecasting financial metrics, and optimizing operational processes. Key Responsibilities: Perform complex data analysis using SQL, Python, or R to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in financial data. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Translate business requirements into technical data specifications and analytical models. Interpret data and provide actionable recommendations to inform business strategy and product development. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver impactful insights. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all analyses and reporting. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data collection and analysis. Present complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, with a significant focus on the financial services industry. Expert-level proficiency in SQL is required. Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with statistical programming languages (Python or R) is highly desirable. Solid understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights effectively. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
