Job Title: Data Analyst - MDM & SQL

Location: Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong experience in SQL, Master Data Management (MDM), and enterprise data analysis. The ideal candidate will support data quality initiatives, master data governance, data integration efforts, and analytical reporting across business functions. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including Data Engineering, Product, Business, and Governance teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, data profiling, optimization).
  • Handson experience with MDM concepts (data quality, master data domains, match/merge, hierarchy management).
  • Experience with one or more data platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Teradata, BigQuery).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Experience documenting requirements: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, data mapping, lineage documentation.
  • Strong Excel skills; exposure to Power BI/Tableau preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and metadata management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare, finance, retail, or manufacturing data (customizable by employer).
  • Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt) or data integration pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Python or SQL scripting for automation (optional).
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
