The role of Senior Data Analytics and Reporting Manager is crucial to our EDPlan reporting system. In this capacity, you will serve as the reporting product owner and a subject-matter expert, collaborating with service line leaders, technical teams, and clients to define requirements and deliver high-quality analytics solutions. You will shape the strategy and governance surrounding EDPlan's reporting portfolio, prioritize enhancements, and ensure data quality and usability to improve client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with service line leads and stakeholders to document data engineering and analytics requirements.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions to technical challenges.
  • Own the EDPlan reporting product, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with strategic vision.
  • Review existing EDPlan reports to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and build reports and dashboards to enhance the availability of educational data for clients.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of EDPlan reports, documenting their purpose and known limitations.
  • Mentor data analysts and scientists to foster a culture of teamwork and innovation.
  • Drive strategic technology planning and advocate for enhancements that improve reporting services.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of experience in data analytics and reporting, preferably within the education sector.
  • Familiarity with Common Education Data Standards (CEDS) and interoperability standards is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This remote position requires occasional travel (10-20%) for client visits and PCG events, and candidates are preferred to work within Eastern or Central Time zone hours.
