Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer / Data Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL development and database management across both Azure and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes, while ensuring high performance, reliability, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases across Azure and on-premises environments
- Build and optimize high-performance queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes
- Lead data modeling efforts including conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Architect and implement scalable data warehouse and data lake solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are implemented
- Monitor and tune database performance, indexing, and query optimization
- Support data integration using modern ETL/ELT tools and frameworks
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Hands-on experience with Azure data services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Solid experience in database design, data modeling, and architecture
- Proven experience building and maintaining Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques
- Experience with indexing strategies, partitioning, and query optimization
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
