About Linero

Linero is building the operational infrastructure that ensures the world's most sensitive technologies reach the right hands, and never the wrong ones.

Our customers include some of the most consequential companies in the world: leading AI labs, aerospace and defense primes, semiconductor giants, quantum computing pioneers, and companies pushing the frontier in chemicals, advanced manufacturing, and robotics.

We are an AI-native, venture-backed company creating a new category of software at the intersection of national security, industrial infrastructure, and enterprise AI.

The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build and own the data infrastructure that powers Linero: ingesting, transforming, and routing data across a complex landscape of enterprise sources that operate under strict security and isolation requirements. The work is foundational: without it, nothing else runs.

This is a hands-on implementation role. You will spend most of your time building and operating production systems, working closely with the backend and AI/ML engineers to ensure data flows reliably from source to model to product.

What You'll Own

  • Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest and process large volumes of data from diverse enterprise sources in real time
  • Implement and evolve Linero's data model and ontology layer, defining semantic relationships and tuple structures that make complex, fragmented enterprise data queryable and meaningful
  • Architect data flows that meet strict isolation and confidentiality requirements across multi-tenant environments
  • Work closely with AI/ML engineers to ensure clean, structured, semantically rich data is available for model training and inference
  • Build observability and monitoring tooling to ensure pipeline reliability, data quality, and low latency at scale
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Linero's data architecture as the platform and customer base grows

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience with a proven track record of building and operating high-scale data pipelines in production
  • Deep proficiency in pipeline frameworks and data orchestration tools: Airflow, dbt, Spark, or similar
  • Strong experience with both streaming and batch data processing
  • Experience with ontology design and semantic data modeling; you understand how to represent complex real-world relationships as structured, queryable knowledge
  • Familiarity with tuple-based or graph data representations and the tradeoffs between different approaches to knowledge modeling
  • Experience working with heterogeneous enterprise data sources: ERPs, SaaS platforms, APIs, and internal databases
  • Familiarity with high-security or multi-tenant data environments is a strong plus
  • You care about data quality and reliability as much as throughput; you build systems that can be trusted
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New York City

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Meaningful equity in a company at an early and critical stage of growth
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision
  • The opportunity to build data infrastructure that sits at the foundation of a platform trusted by the most demanding enterprises in the world
  • Direct access to leadership and genuine influence over how Linero is built

Equal Opportunity & Eligibility

  • Linero is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
  • This role requires access to export-controlled information, as a result, applicants must be U.S. persons (citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) as defined under applicable U.S. law.
  • Start date is immediate, with flexibility for the right candidate. If you are not based in New York, we can accommodate remote work for an initial period and offer relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.
