Senior Data Engineer in Toronto

Drive impactful data engineering solutions with our Global Risk and Treasury Technology team in Toronto. Become a Senior Data Engineer focused on optimizing ETL pipelines and financial data workflows. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to develop reusable data assets for Group Treasury.

You will design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory and SQL Server. Engage in projects that require a proactive mindset and a capability to handle multiple tasks while mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure tools
• Build data workflows in Azure Synapse and GCP BigQuery
• Modernize legacy financial data systems
• Develop data models for finance and regulatory reporting
• Implement data governance frameworks in multi-cloud setups Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years in data engineering with Azure and GCP
• Proficiency in SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory
• Experience with financial data domains and regulatory standards
