Senior Data Engineer - Platform / Warehouse / Python / Cloud

Data Engineer

• 10+ years professional experience as a data engineer, including ownership of data products and fluency with engineering best practices.

• Previously designed and built data platforms and data warehouses while partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency with a variety of data engineering technology and a willingness and ability to learn new tools. We are specifically looking for someone who can dive into Python (or Ruby), postgreSQL, and docker and is willing to dabble with Bash. Experience with Azure and (optionally) AWS Athena and compute jobs (batch jobs, Lambda functions, and Glue jobs).

• A history of designing systems with an approach centered on data quality and scalability.

• An appreciation for the challenges and optimizations relevant to an early-stage start-up environment.

• Interpersonal skills - you don't have a hard time being empathetic, courteous, and collaborative.

• Experience in the healthcare space or another highly-regulated industry.

• Have experimented with or adopted AI productivity tools and are intellectually curious about how AI is transforming data engineering.
