Job Responsibilities
- You design, build, andmaintainend-to-end data pipelines for batch and streaming data, ensuring robustness and scalability across the full data lifecycle.
- You architect andoptimizedata models and data platforms, supporting analytical and operational use cases with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.
- You collaborate closely with business analysts, data consumers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, well-structured, and trusted datasets.
- Youestablishand enforce data quality, lineage, and governance practices, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability and compliance.
- You automate data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration,leveragingmodern frameworks and engineering best practices.
- You develop andmaintaindata services and APIs to enable seamless and secure data access across systems.
- You continuouslyoptimizepipeline performance, scalability, and cost, particularly in cloud-based environments.
- You contribute to the evolution of Synpulse8’s data platform strategy, including tooling, standards, and engineering best practices.
What We Are Looking For
- You bring 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- You have strongproficiencyin Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
- You have solidexpertisein SQL and data modeling, including designing scalable schemas for analytical workloads.
- You have hands-on experience with Snowflake (must-have), including data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- You have a strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, data architecture, and distributed systems.
- You are experienced with CI/CD practices, version control (e.g., Git), and production-grade data pipeline deployment.
- You have experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, orDagster.
Bonus Points
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake and Spark-based processing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native data services.
- Familiarity with data governance and catalog tools (e.g., Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra).
- Experience in Financial Services (banking, insurance, reinsurance, wealth management).
- Exposuretolakehousearchitectures and Medallion design patterns.
