Position Overview
Join Autodesk as a Senior Data Product Director, where you will lead the strategy and innovation of our Customer Journey Data Set (CJDS), a cutting-edge event data product that utilizes telemetry from web platforms and event-driven applications. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for shaping the product vision and roadmap, transforming raw event streams into curated, governed, AI-ready data assets that drive Product-Led Growth (PLG), experimentation, personalization, customer insights, and enterprise decision-making.
You will collaborate with teams across the globe, requiring up to 15% travel for face-to-face meetings, including conferences and team offsites. This role is hybrid with the option to work from our offices in San Francisco, Atlanta, or Portland.
Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the vision for event-driven data products.
- Identify key personas (analytics, data science, product, etc.) and assess their needs.
- Regularly evaluate user needs and adapt accordingly.
- Translate business objectives into actionable data product capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap aligned with measurable outcomes.
- Standardize event taxonomy and instrumentation guidelines.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture to ensure scalable event generation.
- Align raw event streams with key business metrics.
- Establish data SLAs and quality standards.
- Work with data engineering to implement monitoring and observability.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and governance standards.
- Create documentation and standards for data asset discoverability.
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to align on instrumentation needs.
- Collaborate with analytics and data science teams to prioritize use cases.
- Clearly communicate roadmap, trade-offs, and impacts to leadership.
- Promote data product adoption across teams.
- Continuously monitor the evolving data and AI ecosystem; recommend changes to the roadmap.
- Collaborate on backlog prioritization with Data Engineering.
- Define success metrics for data products.
- Manage iterative releases and focus on continuous improvement.
- Drive adoption, measuring product usage and realization of value.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years in Product Management, especially in data, analytics, or platforms.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and telemetry data.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques.
- Collaboration experience with Architecture and Data Engineering teams.
- Knowledge of event tracking systems.
- Strong prioritization and outcome-driven mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering internal data platforms or products.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product discovery frameworks.

Salary Transparency
For U.S. based roles, we anticipate a starting base salary between $128,000 and $228,690, depending on experience and location. Our compensation package may also include bonuses, commissions, stock grants, and comprehensive benefits.
