KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Data Science Associate to join our Consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Transform advanced business analytics challenges into effective technical strategies, delivering actionable insights across various sectors including technology, financial services, emerging tech, government agencies, and utilities.
  • Define engagement goals, key deliverables, and ensure timely completion by adhering to analytical processes. Collaborate with clients to uncover, prepare, and analyze diverse data sources such as social media, internal/external documents, emails, financial, and operational data.
  • Collaborate with KPMG’s Tax, Audit, and Advisory teams to enhance client understanding of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Advanced Analytics, while working closely with emerging technologies from AI service providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in rapidly iterating models and refining solutions in a dynamic environment, effectively managing both virtual and in-person interactions while communicating results to executive audiences.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to oversee code development for data extraction and enrichment, leading teams in exploratory data analysis and machine learning algorithms.
  • Uphold KPMG's standards of integrity and professionalism in every interaction.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience managing teams of data scientists, engineers, and analytics professionals, including business development and quality management in analytics and software development related to natural language processing and machine learning.
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields is required; a PhD is preferred.
  • Proven experience in executing analytics projects with strong capabilities in data discovery, cleaning, model selection, validation, and deployment, emphasizing problem-solving and solid communication skills.
  • Expertise in applying artificial intelligence techniques to solve business problems, with a strong understanding of data resources, processing platforms, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in various technologies and tools, particularly fluency in Python or R, with experience in SQL and cloud technologies; command-line scripting and data structures/algorithms knowledge is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
