ROLE OVERVIEW

R Systems International's Sales & Competitive Intelligence department is committed to simplifying and unifying analytics consumption, empowering executives with actionable insights and data-driven strategies. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead Advanced AI and NLP initiatives leveraging cutting-edge techniques in Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve complex business challenges and optimize decision-making across global markets. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enabling seamless collaboration with global teams on multilingual AI applications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and lead end-to-end analytics lifecycle: requirements gathering, problem formulation, data grooming, model prototyping, validation, and production deployment.
  • Develop and fine-tune LLM-based AI solutions, optimizing multilingual applications for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to refine AI interactions and improve model performance.
  • Lead exploratory analyses to establish links across datasets and uncover valuable data correlations.
  • Apply NLP modeling techniques including entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and text generation.
  • Guide and mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Present findings, strategic recommendations, and suggested actions to executives and stakeholders.
  • Ensure model scalability, adaptability, and modular architecture across AI projects.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Spanish to enable seamless global collaboration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills

  • Extensive expertise in LLMs (GPT, BERT, LLaMA) and multilingual NLP techniques.
  • Strong experience in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Ability to fine-tune and optimize AI models for specialized applications.
  • Expertise in data manipulation, machine learning algorithms, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark) and ETL processes.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture, data warehouses, and streaming services.
  • Advanced mathematical skills: probability, statistics, PDEs, and calculus.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with data manipulation and statistical modeling (Scientist, Consultant, Architect, DBA, or Engineer).
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL/R/Python/SAS programming.
  • Proven track record of leading AI-driven automation and NLP research projects.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or equivalent. Master's preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in sales, marketing, or competitive intelligence analytics.
  • Background in telecommunications or other consumer-based sectors.
  • Experience with Teradata, Hadoop, Spark, HIVE, SAS, Alteryx, or Linux.
  • Familiarity with text analysis, text mining, and AI-driven automation tools.
  • Publications or research contributions in LLM and NLP applications.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
