Role: Senior Data Solutions Developer / Advanced Analytics Senior Data Engineer
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months (Extension & FTE potential)
Overview:
Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions. The role supports data-driven decision-making through scalable ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud-based modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows
- Design data models and support data warehouse architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics solutions
- Contribute to cloud migration and modernization efforts
- Optimize performance and reliability of data systems
Must Have:
- 5+ years in data engineering and ETL development
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with data modeling and data warehousing
- Exposure to AWS data services (e.g., SageMaker)
- Experience with modernization/migration projects
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- SAS or WebFOCUS experience
- Machine learning / AWS SageMaker exposure
- Knowledge of data governance and cloud security
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Banking/financial services background
