Job Description

Our client, a prominent innovator in the renewable energy sector, is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their world-class engineering team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of electrical systems for cutting-edge energy storage solutions. This includes conceptual design, schematic capture, PCB layout supervision, component selection, power system analysis, and verification testing. You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to bring innovative products from concept to production. A strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, embedded systems, and relevant industry standards is essential. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented engineer with exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven track record in complex electrical system design.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the electrical design of new products and systems, from initial concept through to production release.

Develop detailed electrical schematics, perform thorough circuit analysis, and oversee PCB layout processes.

Select appropriate electronic components, considering performance, cost, and reliability requirements.

Design and implement power management systems, including battery charging and regulation circuits.

Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., SPICE, thermal analysis) to validate design performance and identify potential issues.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for electrical components and systems, including functional, performance, and environmental testing.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical design issues encountered during development and production.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, firmware, and software engineering, to ensure integrated system design.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering and renewable energy.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a strong academic record. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical hardware design is mandatory. Demonstrated expertise in using EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence) for schematic capture and PCB layout is required. Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) is essential. Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this remote role. This is an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions and advance your career.
