Job Title: Sr. Electrical Drafter

Job Description

Produce, modify, and maintain Revit models and construction drawings for electrical and communications systems in a transit/infrastructure environment. Draft and model elements such as electrical systems, communications systems, and related MEP components as required for coordination. Support designers by translating markups, redlines, and design inputs into accurate Revit deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Work within an established BIM environment and follow project and client drafting standards.
• Coordinate with internal design teams to meet aggressive project deadlines and milestones.
• Update drawings efficiently to accommodate design changes and reduce rework.
• Support quick-turn deliverables that cannot be outsourced due to time zone or training constraints.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of relevant Revit drafting experience.
• Strong hands-on Revit drafting experience (Revit is mandatory).
• Experience drafting electrical, communications, or MEP systems in Revit.
• Ability to produce drawings independently with minimal ramp-up.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA, communications systems, systems engineering.
• Exposure to communications, security, CCTV, PA, SCADA, or access control drawings.
• Prior experience working within large consulting or multi-office teams.
• Experience supporting engineers under tight milestones.

Work Environment

Work at GTA-based offices with the ability to go into any of the client offices across the GTA. The environment is highly collaborative with engineers and designers, featuring a heavy project workload with rapid turnaround expectations. There is a preference for local, in-house drafting over offshore support due to time zone and rework challenges. This role offers the opportunity to step into a high-visibility transit infrastructure project where Revit skills are immediately impactful.

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $88.00/hr.
