As a Sr. Electrical Engineer in our Orlando, FL office you will be joining a team that provides a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design. Our diverse skill set includes power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, low and medium voltage distribution systems, and construction coordination.In this role you'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls, prepare load analysis for different stages of design, produce drawings detailing the system, create basis of design reports, document energy compliance calculations and forms, select equipment and fixtures for building use, and coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects. You will utilize your exceptional design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities—including industrial, commercial, hospitality, grocery and retail.What You'll Do Design full low and medium voltage electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm and signaling systemsDesign lighting systems including associated control systemsPrepare load analysis for each stage of designDirect a design team in preparation of detailed project electrical systems drawingsPrepare basis of design report for the projectPrepare and document project energy compliance to applicable energy codesSelect and prepare specifications for electrical equipmentCoordinate work with engineers of other disciplines (mechanical, life safety, etc.) and with project architectsMaintain confidentiality with clients and projectsThis is a hybrid position (2 days/week in office) based in Orlando, FL. No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.Here's what you'll need Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)Professional Engineer license (PE)8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, which could include the followingExperience working for a MEP firm focusing on mission‐critical applications, designing medium‐voltage distribution systems and emergency generationExperience with project deliverables such as design reports, drawings and specifications for power distribution applications, including calculation of available short circuit current, voltage drop, load calculations, power factor, equipment, conduit, conductor sizing, electrical plans, schematics and schedulesRequired code and standard knowledge: NEC, IES, NFPA 70E, IEEE Color Book SeriesRequired software capabilities: Revit, AutoCAD, SKM or ETAP, computer‐based lighting softwareIdeally, you'll also have Master's Degree in Electrical EngineeringLEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system processExperience working on data center, power, UPS systems, and generator systemsBenefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
