Senior Electrical Engineer, Power Systems

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialization in Power Systems to join their innovative team on a fully remote basis. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of complex power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. You will work on a variety of projects, including grid modernization, renewable energy integration, and power quality solutions. Key responsibilities involve performing detailed engineering calculations, creating electrical schematics and layouts, specifying equipment, and developing technical documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of power system fundamentals, including load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, protection coordination, and grounding systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, civil engineers, and equipment vendors, to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on power systems. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical power systems engineering is required. Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD) and AutoCAD Electrical is essential. Key Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and implement electrical power systems. Perform power flow, short-circuit, and stability studies. Develop protection and coordination schemes for power systems. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred. Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E, etc.). Experience with AutoCAD Electrical. Strong knowledge of power system principles, including protection and grounding.
