Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems for power distribution, generation, and protection. Perform power flow, short circuit, and stability analysis using industry-standard software. Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and detailed electrical designs. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE), and client specifications. Specify electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, motors, and control systems. Conduct site visits for data collection, design verification, and construction support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during design and construction. Prepare technical reports and documentation. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems. 7+ years of experience in electrical power system design and analysis. Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD). Strong understanding of power system protection schemes and coordination. Experience with low, medium, and high voltage systems. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
