Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

Our client, a leader in the energy infrastructure sector, is actively recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in Power Systems to join their team in Miami, Florida, US . This role is crucial for the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems that support our critical energy operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in power system analysis, protection, and control, with hands-on experience in high-voltage applications and grid integration. You will be responsible for leading engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion, ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. Key responsibilities include performing complex engineering calculations, developing detailed design specifications, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with a Master's degree and professional engineering licensure (PE) being highly advantageous. Extensive experience in power system design, including substation design, transmission, and distribution systems, is essential. Proficiency with industry-standard simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP) and CAD tools is also expected.
