This position is ideal for a self-driven individual who thrives in a remote-first environment and excels at designing and implementing robust, scalable electrical systems from the ground up. You will be instrumental in defining the technical vision, architecture, and implementation strategies for our next generation of products, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the architectural design and development of complex electrical systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Translating high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications for electrical hardware and firmware components. Defining system interfaces, communication protocols, and data flows between various subsystems. Selecting appropriate technologies, components, and platforms to meet project objectives and long-term strategy. Conducting feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments for proposed system architectures. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, mechanical, and product management, in a virtual environment. Developing and maintaining comprehensive system documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and integration plans. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Overseeing the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of system development, ensuring adherence to architectural principles. Troubleshooting complex system-level issues and driving resolution efforts across distributed teams. Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in electrical engineering and system design, particularly those relevant to remote collaboration and distributed systems. Ensuring system designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements. Contributing to the strategic roadmap for electrical and systems engineering within the organization. Developing strategies for efficient remote development workflows and toolchain management. Championing best practices in system design, including modularity, reusability, and testability. Required Qualifications:

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on system architecture and design. Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying complex, multi-component electrical systems. Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools. Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and real-time operating systems. Experience with various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, wireless). Proven ability to architect solutions involving power management, signal integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration. Experience with agile development methodologies and distributed team management. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting. Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools is a plus. A proactive mindset towards identifying and mitigating system-level risks. This fully remote role offers the unique opportunity to shape groundbreaking technologies from the comfort of your home office. If you are a visionary architect ready to lead complex projects, we encourage you to apply.
