Senior Energy Systems Engineer

Our client, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Energy Systems Engineer to join their innovative team. Key responsibilities include leading the technical design and development of integrated energy systems for various applications, such as microgrids, utility-scale power plants, and industrial facilities. You will perform detailed energy modeling, load forecasting, and system performance analysis using specialized software tools. This role requires the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies, including solar PV, wind, battery storage, and conventional generation sources, ensuring optimal system efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for developing technical specifications, P&IDs, and performance reports. Collaboration with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and compliance will be a significant part of your duties. Conducting feasibility studies and providing expert technical guidance on energy-related challenges are essential.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on power systems or energy. A minimum of 7 years of experience in energy systems engineering is required, with demonstrated expertise in renewable energy integration and grid interconnection studies. Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., PVSyst, HOMER, ETAP) and a solid understanding of power systems analysis are essential. Experience with project management and a proven ability to lead technical teams are highly desirable.
