Space42 (ADX SPACE42) is a UAE-based AI-powered SpaceTech company specializing in satellite communications, geospatial analytics, and artificial intelligence to enhance life on Earth from space. Established in 2024 from a merger of Bayanat and Yahsat, Space42 aims to redefine the accessibility of space and the application of data on Earth.

In your role as Senior Engineer - Payload Systems, you will be a key member of the Space Segment Engineering department, leading the design, development, and integration of satellite payload systems. Reporting to the Principal Systems Engineer, you will provide critical engineering support to Space42 Operations, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal performance across the Space42 fleet.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design and development of satellite payload systems.

• Support payload performance analysis and establish link budgets for new missions.

• Assist in defining requirements related to communications payload and TT&C specifications.

• Oversee integration and testing of payload systems.

• Support the PMO team on payload-related program milestones.

• Engage with the Space-tech industry for future mission studies.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Communications Engineering; Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.

• 5+ years in the satellite industry with demonstrated experience in radiofrequency applications and link budgets.

• Exceptional skills in digital processing, beamforming, and flexible payloads/software-defined satellites.

• Experience with LEO constellations and small satellite missions is a plus.

• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and CAD software.
