Our client, a Top-Tier Foriegn Asset Management Firm/ Fund House, is looking for a Senior Equity Analyst to join their equities team, with a primary focus on the Greater China Technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive fundamental research and analysis on Greater China technology companies across Hong Kong and Mainland China Markets
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, conduct thorough valuations, and deliver high-conviction investment ideas and recommendations
- Closely monitor sector developments, competitive landscapes, regulatory changes, supply chain dynamics, and macro/geopolitical factors affecting the technology industry
- Produce high-quality research reports, stock notes, and presentation materials for internal portfolio managers and investment committees
- Proactively identify investment opportunities and risks within the Greater China tech universe (semiconductors, AI, EVs, cloud, software, internet, etc.)
- Collaborate with portfolio managers on idea generation, position sizing, and portfolio construction
- Participate in company meetings, earnings calls, industry conferences, and channel checks
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Equity Analyst in sell-side (investment banks / brokerages) or buy-side (asset management / hedge funds)
- Strong coverage and proven track record in the Greater China Technology sector is mandatory
- Deep industry knowledge and extensive network within the Greater China tech ecosystem
- Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills with strong Excel proficiency
- CFA charter or candidate is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (both spoken and written); Cantonese is an advantage
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
