A little bit about the role:

Warner Music's Global Service Center Revenue Team collects and consolidates revenue for the company and works with other service center teams to provide best-in-class services to our global Finance labels and affiliates.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you are the technical engine ensuring our global revenue data is accurate and actionable. This is a highly technical, deep-dive role perfect for someone who enjoys working with complex financial systems to prioritise global accuracy. You'll ensure that the massive volume of global revenue reporting flows seamlessly through our systems and into the financial heartbeat of our international territories. This role offers a unique front-row seat to the mechanics of the music industry, providing exposure to senior stakeholders across the group as you act as the go-to expert for troubleshooting and financial integrity.

You'll thrive in this role if you possess a "diagnostic" mentality, love troubleshooting complex system-generated data, and want to be the technical linchpin that ensures global financial reporting flows accurately across an international stage. It would be a great first move from practice, allowing you to translate your rigorous technical accounting background into the fast-paced music industry, focusing on the mechanics of global revenue.

Here you'll get to:

  • Master Complex Systems: Take ownership of the initial accounting and subsequent analysis of financial postings generated by our cutting-edge revenue processing system.
  • Bridge the Global Gap: Ensure everything processed centrally is accurately pushed out to local territories, maintaining the vital link between central data and local financial reporting.
  • Solve Technical Puzzles: Use your troubleshooting skills to manage data tables and cross-reference maps within SAP/Vistex, ensuring automated accounting entries are flawless.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert: Field queries from senior finance personnel at global affiliates, providing detailed explanations of accounting flows and proposing technical updates to mapping tables.
  • Govern Financial Integrity: Review all balance sheet account postings and collaborate with Order-to-Cash and Tax teams to ensure documents meet strict local legislative requirements.
  • Influence the Future: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by maintaining detailed process flows and identifying ways to optimize our revenue recognition.
  • Lead and Develop: Line manage a Finance Analyst, reviewing their output and mentoring them as part of our high-performing team.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
  • Qualified accountant required.
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with accounting and royalty systems a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for music and understanding of the digital music landscape.
  • Experience working in a SOX controlled environment preferred
