This is a 6 month contract with permanent potential

About the Opportunity

• Responsible for the preparation of month end financial statements
• Ensure timely compilation and maintenance of accounting data to meet reporting deadlines
• Prepare monthly / quarterly financial and management reporting, reconciliations, tax recovery, etc.
• Analyze monthly operation variances & provide account analysis
• Prepare annual budgets
• Prepare year-end cost statements and final billings to tenants
• Assist property management personnel in financial accounting matters
• Prepare various accounting reports and analysis as requested by the Commercial Controller
• Prepare tax filing (GST/ PST) and property tax information as required
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Participate in special projects as designated by Commercial Controller

About You

• 2-3 years of experience in a commercial real estate environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to details
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be a team player while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency
