Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis, with a proven track record of driving financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for preparing complex financial reports, conducting variance analyses, and developing budgets and forecasts in collaboration with various departments. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining detailed financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes. Analyzing financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variance, and providing actionable recommendations. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including executive summaries and presentations. Assisting in the development and management of the annual budgeting process. Performing ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support various business initiatives and investment decisions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy of reporting. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices in financial analysis and reporting. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. Mentoring junior members of the finance team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and data visualization tools. Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment. Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
