Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Sales & Marketing FP&A

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in our AWS Sales & Marketing FP&A team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fastest growing business division within Amazon. As a Financial Analyst, you will work closely with finance leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve overall planning and forecasting process.

Key job responsibilities

• Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports and scorecards used for consolidation reports.

• Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and models that drive business decisions.

• Lead processes to facilitate consolidation process and reports.

• Partner with finance technology partners to streamline reporting infrastructure and automation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

• MBA, or CPA

• Knowledge of Tableau

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
