Our client is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic Corporate Strategy team in Cincinnati, Ohio, US . This role will be instrumental in driving strategic financial planning, investment analysis, and business performance assessment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial modeling, market analysis, and corporate finance principles. Responsibilities will include developing complex financial models to support long-term strategic initiatives, conducting thorough due diligence on potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, and preparing detailed presentations for executive leadership. You will also be responsible for analyzing financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommending actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Collaborating closely with various departments, including Operations, Marketing, and Sales, to gather data and provide financial guidance will be a critical aspect of this position. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment. A deep understanding of economic trends and their impact on the financial markets is also essential. The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders is paramount.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or a similar role. Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint. Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Experience in a strategic finance or corporate development function is preferred. Familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). This hybrid role requires approximately 2-3 days per week in the Cincinnati, Ohio, US office.
