Job Description

Our client is a prestigious Investment Bank in Denver, Colorado, US , recognized for its expertise in corporate finance and capital markets. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our M&A advisory team. This role is critical in supporting the execution of complex financial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles, coupled with excellent communication and client-facing skills. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing transaction-related materials, and supporting senior bankers throughout the deal process.

Responsibilities include:

Developing complex financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and merger models. Performing valuation analyses using various methodologies, such as comparable company analysis and precedent transactions. Assisting in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and deal-related marketing materials. Conducting due diligence, including financial statement analysis, market research, and industry analysis. Supporting senior bankers in client meetings, negotiations, and transaction execution. Monitoring market trends and identifying potential M&A opportunities. Coordinating with legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors throughout the transaction process. Mentoring and guiding junior analysts and associates on the team. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial analyses and deliverables.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, or a related analytical role. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon). Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly. Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. A strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork.
