Our client, a prominent institution in the Banking & Finance sector, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in **Miami, Florida, US**. This role is instrumental in supporting the strategic growth initiatives of the organization through the evaluation and execution of acquisition and divestiture opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial modeling, valuation techniques, due diligence, and deal structuring. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis of target companies, developing complex financial models to forecast performance, and assessing the financial implications of potential transactions. This involves gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing investment committee presentations, and collaborating with internal teams (legal, operations, strategy) and external advisors. A deep understanding of accounting principles, corporate finance, and M&A processes is crucial. You will play a key role in identifying strategic targets, performing valuation analyses, and supporting negotiations. The ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to senior management and stakeholders is essential. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence for potential M&A transactions. Develop sophisticated financial models to assess company valuations, transaction impacts, and synergy opportunities. Prepare detailed financial reports, investment memos, and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees. Analyze financial statements, market data, and industry trends to identify strategic acquisition targets. Support the negotiation process by providing financial insights and valuation expertise. Collaborate with legal, operational, and strategic teams throughout the M&A lifecycle. Assist in the integration planning and post-acquisition financial analysis. Monitor and report on the financial performance of acquired entities. Stay abreast of M&A market trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Support other strategic finance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CFA designation is highly desirable. Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, corporate development, or M&A advisory. Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), and due diligence. Strong understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance concepts. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling software. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information effectively. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a strong plus.
