Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of Sort Centers delivery stations vans and technology to deliver customers packages on time often next day sometimes faster. We augment our traditional deliver by van with other models including eDSP Hub Tango Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers) Amazon Lockers and more all designed to deliver smiles to our customers.

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Egypt Trans Ops Finance team (Located in Dubai) you will be pivotal to the teams success as supporting financial and operational reporting, decision support, financial planning and modeling, controller ship and operations cost reduction implementation. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance and financial leadership to our delivery organization as we grow our delivery business rapidly. This role will provide extensive cross‑functional partnership opportunities with business and finance stakeholders to identify best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts for operations.

A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative socially responsible last mile logistics solutions through large‑scale data‑driven decision making. Success in this role requires you to partner with and influence business owners, support thoughtful decision‑making and adapt to a rapidly‑evolving environment. You will collaborate with finance and functional leaders and peers across multiple business units within Amazon.

You bring best‑in‑class business partnership while providing strong controller ship. You are comfortable leading variance analysis deep dives, presenting to business owners during reviews and can pivot between structured financial processes and ad‑hoc projects and analyses. You exhibit sound judgment in prioritizing your work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders and solve complex problems that affect company‑wide strategic decisions and your team.

Key job responsibilities - Building financial and operational analysis to drive and influence data‑driven senior leadership decisions.

  • Use a range of metrics and models to forecast link operational objectives to financials and determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Business partner cross‑functionally with key senior stakeholders providing finance support and challenge.
  • Lead projects by overseeing timelines, priorities, auditing quality and resolving issue.
  • Produce a financial and operational plan to support business priorities and lead on associated projects.
  • Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions.
  • Support with training new team members and contribute to onboarding plans.
  • Maintain and build tools for your team to support knowledge sharing and help to standardize processes across AMET teams. A day in the life As a Sr Finance Analyst you’ll play a core role in a number of projects at any one time. By tracking performance metrics, analysing data and building financial models you’ll identify where we can drive better efficiency and productivity. You’ll also show us how different scenarios impact our business from a financial perspective which is vital for many of our stakeholders to make business decisions. This role will allow you to work independently whilst also working closely with our partners to provide the insights they need. You’ll be predominantly based in one of our corporate offices but may also require to travel to sites on an ad‑hoc basis.
