Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A

A privately held real estate investment firm specializing in a large national portfolio of residential communities is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join its finance team.

This is a high-impact, analytical role for someone who enjoys working with complex financial data, building models, and helping leadership make better strategic and operational decisions.

What You'll Do:

• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to generate robust financial and operating metrics
• Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed financial models including budget templates and variance analysis
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and operational improvements — including defeasance, land development, and hold/sell analyses
• Create quarterly reporting materials ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionable insights
• Track debt financing terms and performance across the portfolio
• Support KPI development and dashboard reporting for senior leadership
• Participate in ad hoc projects with a proactive, big-picture mindset

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field; MBA or MA preferred
• 3-10 years of experience
• Previous real estate experience is required
• Proficient at financial modeling; fluent with Excel, sensitivity analysis, and pivot tables
