Senior Financial and M&A Analyst

Job Descriptions:

Report to Group CFO and other senior financial executives of different business units.

Carry out financial analysis, financial due diligence, valuation analysis, financial modeling, mergers and acquisition transactions and other corporate finance transactions.

Assist in M&A and financing transactions.

Prepare due diligence information for auditors, financial due diligence accountants, tax advisors, lawyers, banks and other financial institutions.

Assist in preparation of Financial Due Diligence and Quality of Earnings report.

Preparation of detailed financial models to support financial/business plans.

Monitor actual performance compared to financial model, financial/business plans and investigate reasons for variances.

Prepare investment and disposal evaluations.

Assist in strategic, financial and business planning.

Responsible for preparing detailed financial analysis/information.

Assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated and individual management accounts, and supporting financial information for monthly accounts.

Assist in preparation of forecasts and business plans of the business units on timely basis and report providing value-added analysis and operational performance.

Collect and compile financial data at the business unit.

Ensure that the business units comply with accounting regulations and standards and adheres to the business units’ and the Group’s financial policies, corporate governance, and procedures and be responsible for improvements.

Prepare management accounts and supporting financial information for annual audits.

Work with auditors and manage the audit process to ensure annual audits are completed efficiently and on a timely basis.

Prepare adhoc financial information/analysis for senior management and business units.

Requirements:

University degree in Accounting or Finance with HKICPA/AICPA/CFA or equivalent professional qualifications.

Over 10 years of solid experience in finance strategic planning and business partnering.

Not less than 5 years’ experience working on merger and acquisitions, IPOs, corporate finance transactions as well as financing/fund raising transactions in banks, financial institutions, global companies or MNC.

Experience working in Financial Due Diligence team in Big 4.

Experience preparing Financial Due Diligence and Quality of Earnings report and supporting financial information.

Experience in reviewing or building financial models.

Strong excel skills are required.

Finance management experience gained from sizable multinational corporations preferred.

Strong in evaluating business processes, driving and implementing strategic changes.

Self-driven, can work independently, confident and project management skills.

Willing to work long hours and participate in Teams meetings based on US, UK, Australia, HK/China/Singapore time zones.

Ability to show confidence and provide input, replies, suggestions during meetings with senior management/executives within the Group, banks and other financial institutions, Big 4 accountants/tax advisers, law firms, etc.

Ability to show confidence and lead a project and lead employees, Big 4 accountants/auditors/tax advisers, banks and other financial institutions, law firms, other professional parties to successfully complete project.

Relationships with senior executives/partners at banks and other financial institutions, Big 4, major law firms would be an asset.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Fluent in English, Chinese (including Mandarin speaking).

Willing to travel overseas.
