Job Title: Senior Financial & Data Analyst (Cloud / FinOps) Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical professional who combines financial analysis and data analytics expertise to support cloud cost management and optimization initiatives. This role will help maximize the value of cloud investments by delivering cost transparency, financial forecasting, and actionable insights. The position will work closely with technology and business stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ad-hoc and recurring financial analysis related to cloud cost, usage, and optimization.
- Develop cloud financial forecasts, models, and trend analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze and resolve data discrepancies from cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Support and enhance consumption-based cost allocation and chargeback processes.
- Design and build dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into meaningful analytics and reporting solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency of financial and operational analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive shared goals and initiatives.
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or cloud cost management.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud billing models and cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Harness CCM).
- Experience building financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills with data.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- FinOps or Cloud Service Provider certification.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization or cloud financial operations (FinOps).
