Job Description:

Reporting to the Business Evaluation Manager, the Financial Modelling Analyst will support the company’s strategic financial planning efforts, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital allocation strategy through effective financial modelling and analysis to ensure that the executive team has full visibility into the company’s financial position in making informed strategic decisions.

The Day to Day:

Partner with the corporate Growth and Innovation team in developing and maintaining bottoms-up cost models to enable visibility on financial metrics like NPV, IRR, All-in-Sustaining Costs, and ROIC for each mine site

Assess and quantify key risks in growth opportunities for growth capital projects at each mine site

Support the annual strategic planning process through execution of site and company-level scenario analysis

Provide rigorous financial modeling and analysis to support leadership teams in making informed decisions on capital allocation and project prioritization

Support the development and publication of SEC filing documents (i.e. SK-1300, NI-43101, and Mineral Reserves and Resources) with thorough operational and financial knowledge, financial modelling skills, and detailed QA/QC of base modelling assumptions

Support the Improve and Grow team by establishing standards and developing templates for the evaluation of continuous improvement projects at each site

Support the Corporate Development team in aligning the company’s debt instruments with long-term financing needs

Perform ad hoc analysis to provide valuable insights for the finance, technical, and other cross-functional teams

Produce reporting deliverables for presentation to executive leadership and board members

Support the corporate finance team initiatives and serve as backup for other areas of corporate finance, as-needed

Is This You?

Undergraduate degree in finance, engineering, or related field

5-7 years of working experience

Mining industry experience strongly preferred

Professional designation (CPA, CFA, MBA) an asset

Proficiency in discounted cashflow modelling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Ability to work with individuals across all functional areas and different levels of the organization

Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to summarize the key points in an analysis

Experience in SAP, OneStream, or PowerBI reporting an asset

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $105-$115,000. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
