We are seeking a Senior Financial Real Estate Analyst. This role sits at the intersection of advanced financial modeling, real estate investment strategy, and cutting-edge AI tools. The ideal candidate brings deep market expertise and a forward-thinking approach to data-driven decision making.
As a Senior Financial Real Estate Analyst, you will lead complex financial analysis across a diverse portfolio of commercial and/or residential real estate assets. You will leverage AI-powered tools and platforms to accelerate underwriting, market research, and portfolio reporting, helping our team stay ahead in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for acquisitions, dispositions, development and asset management - including DCF, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses
- Conduct in-depth market research on LA County submarkets, including rent trends, cap rates, vacancy rates, and comparable transactions
- Utilize AI and machine learning tools to enhance underwriting speed, data analysis, and predictive forecasting
- Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and executive-level reports with data-backed recommendations
- Partner with acquisitions, asset management, and capital markets teams to support deal execution from LOI through closing
- Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and identify value-add and risk-mitigation opportunities
- Evaluate debt structures, equity waterfalls, and join venture terms in collaboration with legal and finance teams
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team best practices in financial modeling and AI tool adoption
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in real estate financial analysis, investment banking (real estate focus), or REPE/REIT environments
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling: Argus Enterprise, Excel (advanced) and/or Python-based modeling
- Strong proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT/Claude for research and writing, Reonomy, CoStar AI features, or comparable platforms
- Deep knowledge of the LA County real estate market - multifamily, office, industrial, retail, or mixed-use
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field required; MBA or MSRE preferred
- CFA, CCIM, or equivalent professional designation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills - ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
