Position: Senior Hardware Engineer - EV Charging Technologies

We are looking for a passionate Test Engineer to play a critical role in developing, validating, and verifying cutting-edge EV charging systems that meet rigorous performance, safety, and compliance standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans for both hardware and software components of EV charging systems.
- Set up, manage, and optimize test environments incorporating power electronics, communication interfaces (OCPP, ISO 15118), and vehicle simulators.
- Conduct thorough functional, regression, and stress testing on Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
- Document and communicate test procedures, results, and any identified anomalies in an organized manner.
- Work collaboratively with the design, firmware, and systems engineering teams to swiftly troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.
- Support compliance testing to align with industry standards such as UL, IEC, and SAE.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives regarding test processes and automation frameworks.
Qualifications We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in testing or validation roles.
- Familiarity with testing instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
- A basic understanding of EV charging protocols and power systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation is a plus.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in EV charging systems and their hardware and systems technology.
- Proficient understanding of mixed-signal design from an electrical perspective.
- Experience with product-level testing (end-to-end).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in designing embedded products like EV chargers or similar high-power devices.
- Knowledge of component-level and system-level testing methods.
- Understanding of pre-compliance and certification testing.
- Familiarity with test automation and scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to testing in electric vehicle charging or automotive systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or Ethernet.
- Experience with test management tools like Jira or TestRail.

Work Arrangement: This position is fully on-site at our office in Atlanta, GA. Candidates must be willing to travel to an Arrow client office as required.
