We are seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer with a strong software and factory control systems focus to support and evolve our modern manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in factory automation, data‑driven manufacturing, and continuous improvement, working cross‑functionally across all FAB departments.
About the Role
In this role, you will work in a dynamic, high‑mix manufacturing environment with both core engineered and make‑to‑order products. You will analyze operations, design workflows, and implement factory control systems and automation solutions, with a strong emphasis on software development, reporting, and performance measurement.
This position is ideal for a senior‑level industrial engineer who enjoys coding, system ownership, and manufacturing optimization at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement manufacturing improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Support layout planning, time studies, and workflow analysis to improve operational efficiency
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and simulation modeling methodologies
- Design, write, debug, and maintain small factory control and FAB application software
- Develop and sustain production reports, recipe management systems, and equipment performance reporting
- Implement and support factory control systems, including:
- Production flow and equipment automation
- Material tracking systems
- Critical measurement data analysis
- Equipment metrics and performance tracking
- Maintain documentation for cost models, equipment specifications, and process changes
- Support new product introduction (NPI), production improvements, capital projects, and cost‑savings initiatives
- Partner across FAB departments to drive a continuous improvement culture
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience supporting factory automation or manufacturing systems
- Experience writing small FAB or factory application software (coding required)
- Strong knowledge of SEMI regulations and standards, especially within semiconductor manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated ability to create, administer, and continuously improve factory control programs
- Technical proficiency with MES, statistical factory controls, and production software
- Experience with factory automation standards and tools, such as:
- SECS/GEM
- SEMI E10
- Power BI (or similar reporting tools)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in cost modeling, data analysis, and production planning
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other complex manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, cost modeling)
