Job Description

Our client, a prominent manufacturing firm in **Denver, Colorado, US**, is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize operational efficiency and productivity across their facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of process improvement methodologies, lean manufacturing principles, and data analysis to identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a meticulous approach to problem-solving, and the ability to drive significant positive change within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Analyze existing manufacturing processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. Design optimal facility layouts, production lines, and material flow to maximize space utilization and operational effectiveness. Develop and implement performance metrics and tracking systems to monitor key operational indicators. Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times and optimize labor allocation. Create process flow diagrams, value stream maps, and other documentation to visualize and communicate process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, engineering, and management, to implement proposed changes. Provide training and guidance to operations personnel on new processes and best practices. Evaluate new technologies and equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities and efficiency. Lead and mentor junior industrial engineers and technical staff. Ensure all implemented processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Manage projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 5-7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, or process improvement. Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a strong plus), and other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in process modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change. Demonstrated project management experience. Experience in data analysis and reporting. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Must be willing to work on-site in **Denver, Colorado, US**.
