Our client is a leading manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to join their operations in Houston, Texas, US . This role is critical in driving efficiency improvements, optimizing production processes, and implementing advanced automation technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a passion for continuous improvement, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects. You will be instrumental in enhancing our operational performance, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement data-driven solutions for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Design, evaluate, and implement automation systems, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Lead projects related to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and layout design for optimal workflow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain management. Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on new processes and technologies. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project findings, recommendations, and performance metrics. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industrial engineering and automation. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process optimization, lean manufacturing, and automation within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of statistical analysis, simulation software, and data visualization tools. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Experience with CAD software and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable. Experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry is a plus.
