Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Industrial Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in **Phoenix, Arizona, US**. This role is pivotal in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing operational costs within a demanding industrial environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process simulation tools. You will lead initiatives to enhance product quality, streamline workflows, and implement innovative technological solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Designing, developing, and implementing new or modified production processes to meet quality, cost, and output targets. Leading cross-functional teams in process improvement projects, utilizing tools such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis. Developing and maintaining process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams. Collaborating with equipment vendors and engineering teams to select, install, and commission new machinery and technologies. Conducting performance testing and validation of new or modified processes. Ensuring all processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Training production staff on new or updated processes and procedures. Utilizing data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and control process performance. Staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements in industrial engineering.
Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of experience in process optimization and industrial engineering within a manufacturing setting. A Master's degree or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are a must. Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) and ERP systems is preferred. This role is based in **Phoenix, Arizona, US**, and requires on-site presence to effectively manage and implement process improvements within the facility.
