Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Process Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives at their facility in **Houston, Texas, US**. This role is critical for optimizing manufacturing operations, enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and advanced data analysis to drive significant operational advancements. You will work closely with production, quality control, and management teams to identify bottlenecks, design solutions, and implement changes that improve throughput and profitability. This position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to continuous improvement within a demanding industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new or modified manufacturing processes and workflows to enhance productivity and quality. Lead and execute lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to reduce cycle times, minimize defects, and lower operational costs. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor process performance and identify trends. Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and flowcharts. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and methodologies to improve manufacturing capabilities. Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workstation layouts and operator efficiency. Develop and deliver training to plant personnel on new processes, procedures, and continuous improvement techniques. Contribute to capital expenditure justifications and equipment selection processes. Ensure all process changes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization in a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable). Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD tools, and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab). Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality control systems. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Experience in project management, from initiation to completion. Familiarity with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards.
