Our client, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Process Engineer to optimize production efficiency and quality at their state-of-the-art facility. This on-site role is critical to analyzing existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with production teams, quality control, and R&D to drive continuous improvement initiatives and streamline workflows. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in industrial engineering principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of successful process optimization in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Design and optimize manufacturing systems, including equipment selection, material flow, and automation. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve production performance. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes. Collaborate with production staff, engineers, and management to implement and sustain process changes. Conduct time studies and value stream mapping to analyze operational efficiency. Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for potential application in manufacturing. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement projects (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering or process engineering within a manufacturing setting. Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD, and data analysis tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to lead and manage complex process improvement projects. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience in the aerospace or a related high-precision manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus.
