We are currently looking for a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to become part of our Hawiyah Gas Plant Division (HGPD). This dynamic facility, located approximately 70 KM from AlHassa in the Eastern Region, processes gas from multiple streams into valuable products like HC condensate, Sales Gas, and Liquid Sulfur. Our plant is equipped with complex processing units and numerous instruments to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Your Role:

As a vital member of our team, you will provide technical support, develop engineering design packages, assist in troubleshooting plant operations, and evaluate project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute sophisticated instrumentation and control engineering tasks for oil & gas processing, including detailed design, commissioning, and maintenance support.
  • Oversee design activities for field instrumentation in oil & gas process units.
  • Manage instrument selection, sizing, configuration, and develop datasheets for various instruments and systems.
  • Review and develop P&IDs, I/O lists, and other related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous area classifications and instrument selection.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, FAT, and SAT inspections, collaborating closely with OEMs.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Configure and maintain DCS, PLC, ESD, and F&G systems, leveraging platforms like Yokogawa CENTUM/ProSafe-RS.
  • Develop control system architectures and participate in testing and commissioning of systems.
  • Provide guidance on cybersecurity requirements for control systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in oil & gas plant design, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in executing greenfield and brownfield projects and strong experience in collaborating with operations and EPC contractors.
  • Excellent technical writing abilities for specifications and reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of international standards related to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Preferred certifications include TÜV Functional Safety Engineer/Expert, ISA CAP, and OEM system certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with leadership capabilities to mentor junior engineers.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and with vendors.
