Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Insurance Product to serve as a key contributor in maintaining the quality and accuracy of our personal lines insurance products. In this business-critical role, you will work with the Senior Manager, Insurance Product to improve and maintain our testing processes and tooling. You'll help ensure our insurance products meet both internal guidelines and state-specific regulatory standards, and share your guidance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing Tooling Development: Develop and maintain tooling which enables business users to verify the calculations and behavior of our insurance products
- Process Implementation: Help roll out and document standardized testing, peer review, and governance workflows
- Test Data Design: Consult on the design of test data, ensuring key scenarios are represented and edge cases are covered
- Technical Product Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on complex rating systems, platform differences, and policy data
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience, with experience in both of the following areas:
- Insurance (P&C and personal lines experience is a plus)
- Software development, quality assurance, technical product management, insurance rating engine development, or similar
- Experience in Python, SQL, R or other programming language
- A degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, similar study, or relevant experience
- Strong critical thinking skills, ability to operate in ambiguity and challenge existing processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to translate concepts between technical and business language
